Goa's Kadamba Transport Corporation Decries Unfair Diesel Price Increase
In a significant development affecting public transport in Goa, the Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) has voiced strong objections to a sudden and sharp rise in diesel prices at one of its designated fuel stations. He explained that the specific petrol pump, which previously charged KTC buses the same rates as other outlets throughout Goa, has now increased the price exclusively for KTC buses to Rs 110 per litre. In stark contrast, private bus operators are still being charged Rs 88.2 per litre at the same facility.
"The Rs 22 hike is unfair," Tuenkar emphasized, highlighting the substantial disparity. As a direct consequence, KTC has initiated a shift to refuel its buses at alternative petrol pumps that offer standard, more reasonable rates.
