Upon realizing they were surrounded by law enforcement, the criminals initiated gunfire, prompting a retaliatory response from the police. In the ensuing skirmish, two of the accused, identified as Punit Kumar (23) from Chand Diyar and Chandan alias Mahi (24) from Rakba Tola Bairiya, suffered bullet wounds to their legs. Their third accomplice, Raghav Pandey of Rakba Tola, attempted to flee the scene on a motorcycle but was swiftly apprehended by the alert police officers.
