Investigations revealed that both individuals were not only involved in peddling the drug but also consumed it themselves. Pawar explained, "The duo started selling the weed to sustain their addiction and generate income." This dual role as users and sellers underscores the personal struggles intertwined with criminal activities in such cases.

Legal Proceedings and Ongoing Investigations

A formal case has been registered against the two youths with the Bavdhan police station. Pawar confirmed, "Our investigations are ongoing to uncover further details and potential links in the drug supply chain." The seizure of hydroponic weed, a high-value variant known for its potency, marks a notable achievement in disrupting local narcotics networks.

The incident serves as a reminder of the challenges posed by drug abuse and trafficking in urban areas like Pune. Authorities continue to urge public vigilance and cooperation in reporting suspicious activities to curb such illegal operations.
