Prayagraj Police Arrest Two More Accused in ITI Student Assault Case, Seize Vehicle
In a significant development, a joint team of Kareli police and the Special Operations Group (SOG) in Prayagraj arrested two more individuals on Thursday in connection with the assault of an ITI student. The arrests bring the total number of suspects apprehended to three out of five accused in this disturbing case.

The two individuals taken into custody have been identified as Mohd Umar (19) and Saif (19), both residents of Kasari Masari. During the operation, police also seized the car that was allegedly used in the commission of the crime, marking a crucial step in the investigation.

According to police reports, the incident stemmed from a parking dispute near C Block, Malviya Samosa on February 8. A group of five miscreants allegedly assaulted a student from Tulsipur (Kareli), who was pursuing his studies at ITI, Jhalwa. The situation escalated further on February 9 when the assailants reportedly dragged the student into their car, subjected him to a severe beating, and then abandoned him near a roadside corner.
Legal Proceedings and Investigation Status
Following the assault, an FIR was registered under appropriate sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing, with efforts focused on locating and apprehending the remaining two accused.
