According to police reports, the deceased has been identified as Roshni Giri, the younger daughter of Santosh Giri, a resident of Tulsi Nagar Colony who works in a private job in MP Nagar. The incident unfolded on the evening of March 26, around 5:30 PM, when Roshni was playing on the second-floor balcony of her home.
At the time, her mother was occupied with cooking in the kitchen, her elder sister was inside the room, and her father was away at work. During this period, a relative living nearby alerted the mother that the child had fallen from the balcony. The fall resulted in severe injuries to Roshni's head and other parts of her body, necessitating immediate medical attention.

The child was initially rushed to a private hospital for emergency care. Given the severity of her injuries, she was subsequently shifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhopal for advanced treatment.
