In a significant academic undertaking, the state of Jharkhand is preparing a massive cohort of students for the crucial Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations scheduled for 2026. A total of 13,704 students enrolled in the state's specialized CM schools of excellence are set to appear for these board exams, marking a pivotal moment for the state's educational framework.
Strategic Academic Roadmap for CBSE Success
The Jharkhand Education Project Council has unveiled a comprehensive strategy aimed at securing outstanding results. Shashi Ranjan, the State Project Director, confirmed that the education department has designed a meticulous academic plan with the explicit goal of ensuring excellent performance and a 100% pass percentage. The core of this strategy involves a rigorous schedule of preparatory tests designed to mirror the actual board exam conditions.
According to the plan, students will undergo two rounds of pre-board examinations. Pre-Test I is scheduled for December, followed by Pre-Test II in January 2026. Both assessments will comprehensively cover the entire syllabus and strictly adhere to the official CBSE question paper pattern, providing students with invaluable exam practice.
Comprehensive Action Plan and Teacher Accountability
To ensure syllabus completion and thorough revision, the department has rolled out a detailed action plan spanning from November to January. A key directive mandates that all schools must complete the syllabus for both Class X and Class XII by the end of November. This early completion allows ample time for revision and remedial support.
Teacher accountability is a major focus. An official order from the education department makes it mandatory for teachers to be present throughout the entire examination and evaluation period. Following the pre-tests, a thorough analysis will be conducted. Answer sheets will be reviewed and discussed directly with parents during specially organized Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs). This initiative is designed to foster transparency and collaborative academic improvement.
Remedial Support and State-Level Vision
Recognizing the need for targeted support, the plan includes provisions for special and remedial classes, which will be conducted regularly from November through January. This ensures that students who need extra help can bridge learning gaps effectively.
Shashi Ranjan emphasized that this entire initiative is part of a broader, state-level roadmap. The ultimate objective is twofold: to significantly improve academic excellence across government schools and to thoroughly familiarize students with the high standards of the CBSE board. This concentrated effort involves 6,613 Class X students and 7,091 Class XII students from 80 CM schools of excellence across Jharkhand, all aiming for success in the CBSE exams scheduled from February to March 2026.
