After this extensive selection process, a total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to prestigious services including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and various Central Services in both Group 'A' and Group 'B' categories.

The commission has published comprehensive data including written examination marks, Personality Test scores, and final total marks for the leading candidates in the merit list. The detailed breakdown reveals the exceptional performance of these top achievers:

  1. Anuj Agnihotri secured the highest final score of 1,071 marks, comprising 867 marks in the written examination and 204 marks in the Personality Test
  2. Rajeshwari Suve M achieved a final total of 1,067 marks with 865 written marks and 202 Personality Test marks
  3. Akansh Dhull earned 1,057 total marks with 864 written marks and 193 Personality Test marks
  4. Raghav Jhunjhunwala obtained 1,042 marks total with 847 written marks and 195 Personality Test marks
  5. Ishan Bhatnagar scored 1,038 marks total with 823 written marks and 215 Personality Test marks

Category-Wise Recommendations and Vacancy Distribution

According to the official notification issued through the Government of India's Press Information Bureau, the 958 recommended candidates represent diverse social categories. The distribution includes 317 candidates from the general category, 104 from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 306 from the Other Backward Classes (OBC), 158 from the Scheduled Castes (SC), and 73 from the Scheduled Tribes (ST).

The total also includes candidates under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories, with specific allocations of 10 candidates under PwBD-1, 14 under PwBD-2, 9 under PwBD-3, and 9 under PwBD-5.

The government had reported 1,087 vacancies across services through this examination cycle. These include 180 posts in the IAS, 55 in the IFS, and 150 in the IPS. Central Services Group 'A' account for 507 vacancies, while Group 'B' services include 195 posts.

Reserve List and Verification Procedures

Under Rule 20(4) and Rule 20(5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules 2025, UPSC has maintained a consolidated reserve list of 258 candidates. This reserve list includes 129 candidates from the general category, 26 from EWS, 86 from OBC, 8 from SC, and 6 from ST categories, along with three candidates from PwBD categories.

UPSC has clarified that the candidature of 348 recommended candidates remains provisional pending verification procedures, while the results of two candidates have been withheld pending further review. This meticulous verification process ensures the integrity and fairness of the selection system.
