The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) has commenced the registration process for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2026. Aspiring candidates seeking admission to Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programs in Tamil Nadu can now submit their applications online via the official websites — tneaonline.org and dte.tn.gov.in.

TNEA 2026: Key Details

According to the official schedule, the final date to register for TNEA 2026 is June 2. Candidates are permitted to upload the required documents until June 6. To complete the application procedure, a registration fee must be paid. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category are required to pay Rs 250, while those from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category need to pay Rs 500.

TNEA is the gateway for admissions to engineering colleges throughout Tamil Nadu. Approximately two lakh seats are available across more than 400 government and government-aided colleges affiliated with Anna University. The admissions will be conducted through an online counselling process under a single-window system managed by DoTE.
