Bengaluru Teen Dies in Flyover Bike Accident

Bengaluru: A 16-year-old II PU student riding a sports motorbike succumbed to injuries after crashing into the sidewall of a flyover on Old Madras Road in Dooravaninagar early Tuesday.

Victim Identified

The victim, V Lawrence, was a resident of Coconut Garden, Ayyappanagar, and was studying commerce at St Joseph’s College, police confirmed.

Accident Details

The incident took place around 3am when Lawrence was riding the bike, which was registered in his mother’s name and primarily used by his elder brother, a private company employee. “Due to speed, he lost balance, rammed the sidewall, and fell,” a police officer stated.

Other commuters alerted authorities and shifted Lawrence to a private hospital in CV Raman Nagar. He was later transferred to another private hospital on Old Airport Road, where he succumbed to his injuries.
