Historical Election Results

In the 2021 assembly election, AITC's Pannalal Halder won the Diamond Harbour seat, defeating Dipak Kumar Halder, who had switched to the BJP ahead of that election. Prior to that, Dipak Kumar Halder had won the seat in the 2011 and 2016 assembly elections on a Trinamool ticket, making it three consecutive terms for the party until 2021. In the recent 2026 assembly polls, the Trinamool Congress entrusted Pannalal Halder with retaining the seat, while the BJP again fielded Dipak Kumar Halder.
