Tragic Wednesday Claims Six Lives in Nashik Region Road Mishaps
In a series of devastating incidents, six individuals lost their lives in three separate road accidents across the Nashik region on Wednesday. The tragedies unfolded in Jalgaon, Nandurbar, and Nashik city, highlighting ongoing concerns about road safety in the area.
Jalgaon: Married Couple Perishes After Wedding Celebration
The first accident occurred in Jalgaon, where spice vendor Muzaffarali Sayyad (60) and his wife, Taherabi (55), residents of the Piprala Hudco area, met with a fatal mishap. The couple had traveled on a motorcycle to the Fardapur area in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to attend the wedding of Muzaffarali's cousin's daughter.
While returning home, an unidentified speeding vehicle struck their bike near a bridge between Umala and Gadegaon. The violent impact threw them onto the pavement, causing serious injuries. Locals immediately rushed the duo to the Government Medical College in Jalgaon, but doctors declared them dead upon arrival.
Nandurbar: Triple Fatality Involving Motorcyclists
In a similarly tragic event in Shahada taluka of Nandurbar district, four men traveling on two motorcycles were hit by an unknown vehicle in the evening as they were returning home. The collision proved fatal for three of them:
- Ishwarsingh Valvi
- Goval Valvi
- Deepak Padvi
All three victims were residents of Dhadgaon taluka. The fourth traveler sustained injuries in the accident and was taken for medical treatment. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding this multi-fatality crash.
Nashik City: Shopkeeper Killed in Late-Night Accident
The third incident occurred in Nashik city, where Prabhakar Nikam (49), a resident of Ashok Nagar Road, lost his life. Nikam was returning home after closing his shop when an unknown vehicle knocked down his motorcycle late on Tuesday night.
His son, Bhavesh, rushed him to Civil Hospital, but doctors declared Nikam dead upon examination. The Ambad police have registered a complaint of causing death due to negligence against the suspect driver.
"Nikam's son took his father to the hospital immediately after the accident, but unfortunately, medical professionals could not save him," stated an officer from the Ambad police station, confirming the details of the case.
These three separate incidents have left communities in mourning and raised serious questions about road safety measures in the region. Police investigations are ongoing in all cases to identify the responsible vehicles and drivers.
