Water Infrastructure and Conservation Initiatives

Earlier in the day, Nitish Kumar conducted detailed inspections of water infrastructure projects along the Sone River. He examined the construction of an intake well near the anicut and a water treatment plant at Bastipur, both designed to utilize surface water from the river to ensure reliable drinking water supply to Rohtas and Aurangabad districts.

The chief minister reviewed progress meticulously and directed officials to maintain stringent quality standards while adhering to established timelines. He further visited the proposed site for a weir on the Sone River, associated with a historic structure dating back to 1872. After receiving detailed technical inputs from water resources department engineers, he stressed the importance of water conservation and long-term sustainability in all infrastructure projects.

Public Engagement and Agricultural Focus

At Bastipur, Nitish Kumar conducted field inspections of the under-construction water treatment facility and reviewed informational stalls set up by various government departments. He interacted directly with beneficiaries of welfare schemes, distributed symbolic assistance, and encouraged greater participation in livelihood and self-employment initiatives.

During a public interaction program at the Police Line Stadium, the chief minister outlined the state government's development vision and priorities. He explained that the Samriddhi Yatra serves as a crucial platform for monitoring ongoing projects and ensuring their effective implementation. Nitish Kumar reaffirmed that both state and central governments remain committed to transforming Bihar into a developed and prosperous state.

Agricultural Progress and Future Vision

Focusing specifically on agricultural development, Nitish Kumar highlighted that since 2008, Bihar has followed a structured agricultural roadmap that has resulted in increased production of crops, fruits, milk, and fish. The expansion of irrigation facilities, including canals and link projects, has significantly supported farmers across the state.

The chief minister also mentioned ongoing efforts to bring Ganga River water to more regions and revive traditional irrigation systems. He noted that Bihar is steadily progressing on the path of development and urged continued public support for government initiatives, assuring that sustained efforts would help establish Bihar among India's leading states.

Addressing enthusiastic crowds, particularly women who raised their hands in support, Nitish Kumar said, "Keep supporting us and Bihar will continue to progress." He reiterated his vision of a prosperous Bihar and called for continued public support to sustain the current pace of development across the state.
