Jaipur Administration Launches Major Crackdown on Illegal LPG Operations
The district administration in Jaipur has executed a rigorous two-week enforcement drive targeting illegal LPG refilling and black marketing activities. This initiative has resulted in the seizure of more than 1,000 LPG cylinders and the registration of over 500 cases, underscoring a firm commitment to public safety and ensuring an uninterrupted supply of cooking gas to residents.
Intensive Raids Across Key Locations
Under the direct supervision of District Supply Officer Priyavrat Singh Charan, three specialized enforcement teams were deployed to act on complaints and intelligence regarding LPG distribution irregularities. Recent raids conducted on Tuesday in areas including Jhotwara, Sumer Nagar, and Sanganer led to the confiscation of approximately 30 cylinders, highlighting the ongoing nature of the crackdown.
An official from the district supply office provided detailed insights into the operation: "We have been conducting raids almost daily over the past 12 days based on complaints and tips-offs. To date, we have cracked more than 500 cases and seized over 1,000 cylinders. In one instance, we dismantled an illegal refilling center, while in two other cases, delivery executives were caught selling LPG in the black market to commercial establishments."
