Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary Leads Nari Shakti Run in Patna
Patna witnessed a significant event on Friday as Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary actively participated in the Nari Shakti for Viksit Bharat Run, organized under the Nari Shakti Vandan Abhiyan in the state capital. The event, held at Digha Golambar on J P Ganga Path, saw the CM flagging off a large contingent of women participants, marking a strong commitment to women's empowerment initiatives in Bihar.
Signature Campaign and Ceremonial Welcome
In addition to flagging off the run, Chief Minister Choudhary signed a signature campaign that is being conducted as part of the broader drive. The event commenced with a warm welcome from BJP MLA and former minister Shreyasi Singh, who greeted the CM with a bouquet and an angavastra. Women attendees at the programme enthusiastically welcomed him by waving their hands, creating a vibrant and supportive atmosphere.

During his address, CM Choudhary underscored Bihar's progressive stance on women's representation. He pointed out that former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had implemented a 50% reservation for women in Panchayati Raj institutions and urban local bodies. This landmark move has significantly strengthened women across the state, fostering greater self-reliance and empowerment in grassroots governance, Choudhary emphasized, linking past policies to current initiatives.
