PMK Leader Anbumani Ramadoss Condemns CM Stalin Over Women's Reservation Bill Failure
In a fiery statement issued from Chennai, PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss has unleashed a blistering critique against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, branding his actions as a "historic betrayal" against women. The accusation centers on Stalin's alleged role in orchestrating the defeat of a Constitution Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha that aimed to secure 33% reservation for women in legislative bodies.
Allegations of Anti-Women and Anti-Social Justice Mindset
Anbumani Ramadoss drew sharp and controversial parallels, likening the chief minister to historical dictators in his condemnation. He asserted that the DMK's opposition to the women's reservation bill is rooted in a deep-seated "anti-women" and "anti-social justice" ideology. Expressing profound shock, Anbumani highlighted reports of DMK cadres celebrating the bill's failure with firecrackers and sweets, a move he described as deplorable.
"History shows that Hitler enjoyed the mass execution of millions of Jews. Stalin's modern-day sadism is no different. Celebrating the denial of power to women is a black chapter in our history," Anbumani remarked, intensifying his rhetorical attack.
Criticism of DMK and Congress Alliance
Further escalating his allegations, Anbumani accused the DMK and its ally, the Congress party, of possessing an "Anti-Social Justice DNA." He claimed that these parties have repeatedly sabotaged efforts to advance women's reservation over the years. Specifically, he criticized the 40 Members of Parliament from the DMK-led alliance, which includes five women members, for voting against the constitutional amendment.
"By toppling this Bill, Stalin has ensured that women remain confined to the kitchen rather than the corridors of power," he added, emphasizing the perceived regression in women's empowerment.

Anbumani Ramadoss predicted severe political consequences for the DMK, stating that the women of Tamil Nadu would not forgive this "betrayal."
