DRDO Announces Major Defence Exhibition in Motihari to Inspire Next Generation
In a significant initiative aimed at fostering scientific curiosity and national pride, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will organize a comprehensive exhibition of its models and products in Motihari. Chief Engineer B K Singh from DRDO, New Delhi, made the announcement on Sunday, revealing that the event is scheduled to take place at the Mahatma Gandhi Auditorium complex from April 15 to 18.
Exhibition Details and Objectives
The primary goal of this exhibition is to inspire students, youth, and the general public by showcasing the technological advancements and capabilities of India's premier defence research organization. Singh emphasized that the event will feature a wide array of defence systems, providing attendees with a firsthand look at cutting-edge military technology.
Key exhibits will include advanced radars and missile systems such as the BrahMos, Prithvi, and Agni missiles. These displays are designed not only to educate but also to motivate the younger generation to consider careers as DRDO scientists, thereby contributing to national service and security.
Long-Term Plans for Permanent Display
Adding to the significance of the event, Radha Mohan Singh, Member of Parliament and chairperson of the Lok Sabha Standing Committee on Defence, revealed that discussions are underway to explore the possibility of permanently installing select DRDO models at the Shaurya Astambh Park on Hospital Road in Motihari. This initiative aims to create a lasting educational resource for the community, ensuring continued inspiration and awareness about India's defence capabilities.
