Aurangabad Minister Announces Major Development Initiatives for Deo Region

Incharge minister of Aurangabad, Santosh Kumar Suman, declared on Sunday that comprehensive efforts are underway for the holistic development of the Deo region. The announcement came during the inauguration of the three-day Surya Mahotsav at Deo, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Achala Saptami. The festival is being organized under the joint auspices of the tourism department and the district administration.

The Surya Mahotsav was formally inaugurated through the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by a distinguished gathering of officials and public representatives. The event saw the participation of:

Comprehensive Development Plans Unveiled

Addressing the assembled gathering, Minister Santosh Kumar Suman outlined several significant development initiatives for the Deo area. He emphasized that recommendations would be submitted for enhanced lighting arrangements and comprehensive beautification projects to transform the region's aesthetic appeal.

The minister provided crucial updates regarding the long-pending Aurangabad Medical College project, confirming that land-related issues that had previously delayed construction would be resolved promptly. He assured that a medical college would indeed be established on Deo soil, bringing advanced healthcare facilities to the region.

In a significant revelation, Suman announced that during the upcoming Samriddhi Yatra, the Chief Minister would personally visit Aurangabad to lay the foundation stone for the medical college, marking a major milestone in the region's development trajectory.

Infrastructure and Tourism Expansion

The minister elaborated on broader development plans, including the creation of a dedicated Deo tourism circuit that would showcase the region's cultural and historical significance. He also mentioned plans for expanding facilities at Umga and other important religious sites in the area, aiming to boost pilgrimage tourism.

Reiterating a longstanding demand, Suman emphasized the necessity of establishing an airport in Aurangabad to improve connectivity and facilitate economic growth in the region.

Support from Legislative Representatives

Kutumba MLA Lalan Ram expressed strong confidence in the medical college project, asserting that its construction at Deo was certain and that efforts would be made at every administrative level to ensure its timely completion. He additionally proposed renaming Aurangabad district as Deo and advocated for linking Kalpavriksha Dham, located in Kutumba block, with the tourism department to enhance its visibility and accessibility.

Aurangabad MLA Trivikram Narayan Singh projected Deo as an emerging major development center in Bihar, revealing that the medical college file had reached the health department and that the trust board had already issued a no-objection certificate, thereby clearing significant procedural hurdles.

Rafiganj MLA Pramod Kumar Singh described Deo as the pride of the district and firmly stated that the medical college would definitely be constructed there. Obra MLA Prakash Chandra highlighted Deo's symbolic importance, representing both Bihar's rich historical legacy and its tradition of social harmony.
