Massive Security Arrangements for UP Police Sub-Inspector Recruitment Examination
The Uttar Pradesh Police has mobilized an extensive security apparatus involving more than 32,000 personnel to oversee the smooth and transparent conduct of the sub-inspector recruitment examination scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. This massive deployment comes as over 15.7 lakh candidates are set to appear for one of the largest recruitment drives in the state's recent history.
Unprecedented Scale of Examination
The written examination for recruitment to 4,543 posts of sub-inspectors (civil police) and equivalent ranks will be conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board on March 14-15. According to official board data, a total of 15,75,760 candidates have applied for these coveted positions, comprising 11,66,386 male and 4,09,374 female aspirants.
The examination will be conducted in two shifts each day—from 10 AM to 12 noon and from 3 PM to 5 PM—across 1,090 examination centers strategically spread throughout all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. This geographical distribution ensures accessibility while maintaining rigorous security protocols.
Multi-Layered Security Deployment
Following specific directives from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and under the direct supervision of Director General of Police Rajeev Krishna, elaborate security arrangements have been implemented to guarantee a fair, transparent, and copying-free examination environment.
Police officials confirmed that more than 32,000 personnel have been assigned examination duty across the state. This substantial force includes four companies and two platoons of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) deployed in various districts, supplemented by three additional platoons of PAC attached to Government Railway Police units to assist with crowd management and comprehensive security measures.
Authorities have emphasized that only reputed and well-equipped institutions meeting stringent criteria have been selected as examination centers to facilitate proper administration and monitoring.
Advanced Anti-Cheating Mechanisms
The recruitment board has implemented a sophisticated multi-layered anti-cheating system designed to maintain the examination's integrity and prevent any malpractice. A cornerstone of this system is the introduction of 100% Aadhaar-based authentication combined with biometric verification for all candidates.
At examination center entry points, candidates will undergo iris scanning and photograph capture, with their identities subsequently verified through advanced facial recognition technology. This system matches the captured image with photographs submitted during the application process, creating a robust verification barrier.
Candidates whose identity does not precisely match their application records will be denied entry and prevented from appearing for the examination, eliminating possibilities of impersonation.
Intelligence Monitoring and Preventive Measures
To counter organized cheating rackets or coordinated impersonation attempts, the Special Task Force (STF) has been activated to maintain constant vigilance. STF personnel will closely monitor suspicious activities and track intelligence inputs related to the examination process, ensuring any potential threats are identified and neutralized proactively.
