Mumbai Police Crack Blind Murder Case, Arrest Husband and Friend

In a significant breakthrough, the Mira Bhayandar Vasai Virar Crime Branch Unit-3 has successfully cracked a blind murder case that began with the grim discovery of a decomposed woman's body at an isolated location under the jurisdiction of the Mandvi police station on March 21. The police have arrested the victim's husband, Roshan Yadav, and his friend, Bhanupratap Yadav, for their alleged involvement in the crime.

Investigation Details and Key Breakthrough

With no immediate leads available, the police promptly registered a case of murder and destruction of evidence. Multiple investigative teams were formed to identify the deceased, whose throat was slit and head smashed with a heavy object, and to track down the perpetrators. The investigation involved scanning over 500 CCTV cameras for nearly three days, which proved to be a crucial step.

A brief flicker of vehicle lights captured in one footage helped police narrow down the suspects. Through meticulous technical analysis, they zeroed in on lift technician Roshan Yadav and his friend Bhanupratap Yadav, leading to their detention.

Confession and Motive Revealed

During intensive questioning, Roshan Yadav allegedly confessed to murdering his wife, Madhubala, with Bhanupratap's assistance on March 19 at a secluded spot. Police revealed that the couple had a love marriage in 2016. While Roshan resided in Vasai for work, Madhubala lived in their hometown in Uttar Pradesh.

The motive behind the murder stemmed from Roshan's suspicion that Madhubala was involved in an extramarital affair, which led to frequent disputes between them. He allegedly called her to Vasai on March 15 and carried out the killing four days later.

This case highlights the dedication of law enforcement in solving complex crimes through advanced technology and persistent efforts.
