This development marks a pivotal shift from the previous reliance on Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport as the primary international flight hub for the region.
Western UP urban centers, including Agra, Meerut, and Greater Noida, will become significantly more accessible to residents of Purvanchal. The introduction of direct flights between eastern and western Uttar Pradesh represents a major advancement in intra-state connectivity, offering passengers from Varanasi and surrounding districts a wider array of travel options.

Vishwa Bhushan Mishra, joint director of the Dharmaarth Karya department, emphasized that Jewar airport will significantly benefit religious tourism across Uttar Pradesh. After landing at Jewar, travel to prominent pilgrimage sites such as Mathura, Agra, Bateshwar, Shakumbhari Devi, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Vindhyachal, and the Chardham in Uttarakhand will become more convenient for both Indian and foreign tourists. The airport will also facilitate travel along the Buddhist circuit, while South Indian tourists can conveniently begin their journeys from Kashi and proceed to their destinations from Jewar.

GI expert Padma Rajni Kant, renowned as the GI Man of India, stated that Jewar airport will elevate the rich heritage of Uttar Pradesh and North India to new heights.
