Joint Secretary (Gulf) in the Ministry of External Affairs, Aseem Mahajan, confirmed the fatalities, expressing deep condolences on behalf of the Indian government.

Mahajan provided further details, stating, "We express our deepest condolences... Of the 11 injured, 10 are Indians. Five have been discharged and the others are receiving treatment in local hospitals." The injured individuals are under medical care, with authorities closely monitoring their conditions.

Since the conflict began, a significant number of Indian nationals have been evacuated from West Asia. Mahajan revealed that approximately 150,000 Indians have returned from the region, with none reported to have sustained serious injuries. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal provided updates on other evacuation efforts, noting that 117 Indian nationals have crossed into Armenia from Iran via land border crossings, with several already having returned to India. Jaiswal reiterated India's stance on the conflict, saying, "We told all sides to adopt the path of diplomacy and dialogue to resolve the conflict as soon as possible."
