The tragic event occurred in Phulsanda village under the jurisdiction of the Nahatour police station, with police confirming the arrest on Saturday.
Details of the Fatal Confrontation
The incident unfolded around 9 PM on Friday when Sajal Kumar, who had been accused of torturing his wife Bhavna, was confronted by her mother, Babli Devi, aged 50. During the argument, Sajal allegedly pulled out a country-made firearm and shot Babli, killing her instantly at the scene.

The charges include sections 103(1) for murder, 115(2) for voluntarily causing hurt, and 352 for intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). This legal framework underscores the severity of the alleged crimes and the ongoing police probe into the domestic violence allegations that preceded the fatal shooting.
