In a significant crackdown on illegal activities, the Sadar Kotwali police and local administration conducted a targeted raid on a residential property in Jaitapur village this Friday. The operation led to the discovery and dismantling of an unauthorized gas godown operating from the premises.

Acting on a credible tip-off, a joint team comprising Circle Officer Ashok Kumar Singh and Inspector Rajkumar Singh from Kotwali, alongside officials from the tehsil administration, executed the raid. The operation was further bolstered by the arrival of District Supply Officer Sanjeev Kumar, who accompanied a substantial police force to ensure security and compliance.
Substantial Seizure of Hazardous Materials
During the thorough inspection of the house, authorities uncovered a cache of hazardous materials. The seizure included 19 empty LPG cylinders and 10 fully filled cylinders, indicating active distribution. Additionally, officials confiscated 176 liters of acid stored in various bottles, raising concerns about potential misuse or safety hazards.
Suspect Taken into Custody
As a result of the raid, one individual was apprehended at the scene. Kotwali Inspector Rajkumar Singh confirmed that the man has been taken into custody for further interrogation and legal proceedings.
