The theft occurred after the accused forcefully administered alcohol to the victim in a hotel, leading to his intoxication and loss of consciousness.

Complaint Filed by Businessman Tomesh Yadav

The FIR was registered based on a complaint by 30-year-old businessman Tomesh Yadav. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Nilesh Rane, the accused, identified as Roopashree C, a resident of Bengaluru, befriended the complainant at a hotel in Goa. She allegedly induced him to spend time together and book a hotel room, setting the stage for the crime.

Details of the Theft Incident

DySP Rane stated that the accused forcefully administered alcohol to Tomesh Yadav, causing him to become heavily intoxicated and lose consciousness. While he was unconscious, Roopashree C allegedly stole valuable items, including a gold kada weighing approximately 40.5 grams and a gold chain weighing around 50 grams, which the complainant was wearing at the time. Additionally, she took cash amounting to Rs 2.4 lakh.

The total value of the stolen goods is estimated at Rs 15.4 lakh. After committing the theft, the accused fled the scene, leaving the victim in a vulnerable state. Police are actively investigating the matter to trace the whereabouts of Roopashree C and recover the stolen property.

Ongoing Investigation Under PSI Nitin Naik

Further investigation into this case is being conducted under the supervision of Police Sub-Inspector Nitin Naik. Authorities are examining hotel records, CCTV footage, and other evidence to piece together the events leading up to the theft.
