A tragic hit-and-run accident on Dwarka Expressway in Gurgaon has claimed the life of a 23-year-old delivery agent, Umesh Vishwakarma. The incident occurred near a mall in Sector 109, where an unknown vehicle, reportedly speeding, collided with his motorcycle on Tuesday evening.

Umesh Vishwakarma was en route to Manesar to deliver a parcel when the collision took place. Passers-by immediately rushed him to Govt Hospital in Sector 10, but due to his critical injuries, he was referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his wounds during treatment on Wednesday.
Police reports indicate that the driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately after the accident, leaving Umesh in a dire state. Authorities are actively working to identify both the vehicle and the accused driver involved in this reckless act.

Based on a complaint filed by Umesh's brother, Pramesh Vishwakarma, a case has been registered at the Bajghera police station. The charges include sections 281 for rash driving and 106 for causing death by negligence under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the unidentified driver.
Umesh resided in a rented accommodation with his brother in Mahipalpur, Delhi, highlighting the personal toll of this incident on his family. The police have emphasized their commitment to tracking down the perpetrator and ensuring justice is served.
