Delhi Police Suspend Routine Leave to Address Security and LPG Supply Concerns
In a decisive move, the Delhi Police have issued an immediate order cancelling all routine leave for its personnel. This action comes in response to the prevailing law and order situation and heightened concerns regarding the supply of LPG cylinders in the national capital, as confirmed by officials.
Official Order Details and Immediate Implementation
The directive, issued by the Joint Commissioner of Police (Operations) to all districts and units, mandates that no routine leave be granted to any personnel until further notice. According to the order, leave will only be sanctioned in cases of genuine emergencies, subject to thorough verification and approval by the competent authority.
The order explicitly states: "In view of the prevailing law and order situation, no routine leaves should be granted to any personnel with immediate effect till further orders. Leaves shall be sanctioned only in genuine emergency cases, duly verified and approved by the sanctioning authority."
All Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) have been instructed to ensure meticulous compliance with this directive. Officials have clarified that this measure is a precautionary step aimed at maintaining adequate deployment of police forces across Delhi to handle any potential disruptions.
Enhanced Security Measures for LPG Distribution
In addition to the leave cancellation, the Delhi Police have significantly bolstered security arrangements at LPG distribution points and godowns. This proactive approach is designed to prevent untoward incidents and ensure the smooth and uninterrupted supply of LPG cylinders to residents.
Senior police officials have been tasked with closely monitoring the situation on the ground. They are responsible for enforcing strict adherence to the order across all districts and specialized units, thereby maintaining a robust security presence throughout the city.
This comprehensive strategy underscores the police force's commitment to safeguarding public order and addressing critical infrastructure concerns, particularly in light of the ongoing challenges related to LPG availability.
