Bhopal Man Hospitalized After Knife Attack in Water Dispute at Eatery

In a shocking incident in Bhopal, a 26-year-old man was allegedly attacked with a knife by a hardened criminal and hospitalized following a dispute over drinking water at an eatery in Teela Jamalpura on Monday. The accused, who has over half a dozen criminal cases against him, has been arrested by the police.

Details of the Altercation and Attack

The complainant, identified as Danish Sheikh, 26, a resident of Indra Nagar, suffers from a skin disease. On Sunday night, he went to drink water from a container at an eatery in Shahjehanabad when the accused, Bhaiyu alias Avesh, objected and prevented him from touching the container, citing his medical condition. This led to a heated argument between the two individuals.

Later, on Monday around 10:15 PM, Danish was approached again by Bhaiyu, who lives in his neighbourhood. Bhaiyu picked up a quarrel with Danish and attacked him with a knife, striking him on the back of his head. The violent assault resulted in Danish being admitted to a hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Police Response and Legal Action

Teela Jamalpura police have registered a case on charges of attempt to murder against the accused. Authorities stated that the accused has a significant criminal record, with more than six cases already filed against him, highlighting his history of unlawful activities.

The police are investigating the incident thoroughly to ensure justice is served. This case underscores the severe consequences of minor disputes escalating into violent confrontations, especially when involving individuals with criminal backgrounds.
