Hazaribag LPG Crackdown: Black Marketing Warning, Delivery Timelines

Hazaribag District Administration Issues Strict Directives on LPG Cylinder Distribution

In a decisive move to enhance transparency and curb malpractices, the Hazaribag district administration has issued stringent warnings to LPG distributors regarding black marketing activities. During a crucial meeting held on Wednesday, Sadar Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) Aditya Pandey emphasized that any complaints of black marketing would result in severe punitive measures, underscoring the administration's commitment to fair practices.

Enhanced Access for Students and Timely Delivery Protocols

SDO Aditya Pandey specifically addressed the needs of students residing in hostels and lodges across Hazaribag. He directed LPG agencies to facilitate easier access by providing small cylinders, known as FTL cylinders, based on valid institutional identification cards. This initiative aims to support the student community by ensuring they have reliable and convenient access to cooking gas.

Furthermore, the administration has established clear timelines for gas supply to streamline operations. According to the directives, LPG cylinders must be delivered within 45 days of application in rural areas and within 25 days in urban areas following booking. These deadlines are designed to improve efficiency and reduce delays in the distribution process, benefiting consumers throughout the district.

Complaint Mechanisms and Public Cooperation Encouraged

To empower consumers, SDO Pandey informed that individuals can directly lodge complaints related to gas supply issues with the district supply officer. This direct channel is intended to expedite resolution and hold agencies accountable for any lapses in service.

In addition, the administration has made a strong appeal to citizens to actively participate in maintaining transparency within the LPG distribution system. Residents are urged to report any irregularities or suspicious activities promptly, fostering a collaborative effort to eliminate black marketing and ensure equitable access to essential resources.

The meeting, which included representatives from various LPG agencies, served as a platform to reinforce these policies and underscore the administration's zero-tolerance stance towards exploitation in the gas supply chain. By implementing these measures, Hazaribag aims to create a more reliable and just distribution framework for all its inhabitants.
