Pete Davidson has added new ink even as he continues the long and painful process of removing much of his old tattoo collection. The comedian and actor was photographed at CinemaCon 2026 in Las Vegas last week with what appeared to be a fresh tattoo of his daughter Scottie's name placed near his ear.
New Tattoo at CinemaCon 2026
Page Six reported that Davidson showed off the new tattoo while appearing onstage at CinemaCon 2026 to promote his upcoming action-comedy 'How to Rob a Bank.' He appeared upbeat during the event and wore clothing that revealed his mostly bare arms, a noticeable change from the heavily tattooed look that once defined him. The outlet noted that the new ink honors his four-month-old daughter, Scottie, whom he welcomed with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt in December 2025. Page Six had previously reported in March 2025 that Davidson and Hewitt were dating, with one insider describing the model as 'very different' from his past relationships.
Tattoo Removal and Daughter Scottie
The new tattoo stands out because Davidson has openly discussed his attempt to clear away about 200 tattoos. He began the removal process in 2021 and has reportedly spent more than USD 200,000 on it. He has said one reason for removing the tattoos was to avoid spending 'three hours' covering them with makeup for screen work.
During an appearance on Jimmy Fallon's 'Tonight Show' in January 2025, Davidson said he was 'trying to clean-slate it' and leave 'maybe, like, two or three' tattoos. He explained the removal process in blunt terms.
'I've been burning them off,' he said, adding that it feels 'worse' than getting them in the first place. Davidson said, 'They burn off a layer of your skin, then it has to heal for six to eight weeks. You can't get in the sunlight. And then you've got to do it, like, 12 more times.' He also joked that people should 'really think about that 'Game of Thrones' tattoo you're thinking of getting.'
Reflecting on the change, Davidson said, 'I used to be a drug addict and I was a sad person, and I felt ugly and that I needed to be covered up. And I don't think there's anything wrong with tattoos, but mine, when I look at them, I remember a sad person that was very unsure.' His latest tattoo shows that while much of his old ink is fading, some new pieces still carry personal meaning.
