The World Punjabi Organisation celebrated the spirit of Punjab by honouring achievers across cinema, fashion, social impact, and public administration at an awards ceremony held in Delhi on Sunday night.

Hosted under the aegis of MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney, chairman of the World Punjabi Organisation, the evening featured cultural performances by a traditional Punjabi band and a bhangra troupe. Guests of honour included Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Punjab, and Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, who were felicitated with a shawl and kirpan. The event opened with the national song and anthem, setting a formal tone for the evening.

A spread of classic appetisers – lamb seekh kebab, paneer tikka, kali mirch murgh tikka, and ajwaini fish tikka – circulated as attendees took in the performances and celebrations. Notable personalities present included Raj Kundra, Diljott, Geeta Basra, Sanjay Passi, Rakesh Bharti Mittal, JJ Valaya, PD Singh, Satish Jain, General JJ Singh (Retd), and Tarlochan Singh.
