Gumla District Launches Comprehensive Academic Drive for 2026 Board Exams
In a significant move to boost academic performance, the Gumla district administration has initiated a comprehensive educational campaign targeting excellent results in the upcoming Class 10 and 12 board examinations of 2026. The initiative began with district-wide mock tests conducted on Monday and Tuesday across all 112 high and +2 schools in the district.
Impressive Student Participation and Attendance
The mock tests witnessed remarkable student engagement with nearly 90% attendance recorded in both Class 10 and Class 12. According to official figures, the district has 11,916 students enrolled in Class 10 and 5,478 students in Class 12 who participated in this academic exercise.
A senior education officer expressed enthusiasm about the response, stating: "The high attendance reflects the growing commitment and enthusiasm among both students and teachers toward academic excellence. This initiative aims not just to improve exam results but to foster regularity, confidence, and subject proficiency among students."
Administrative Oversight and Educational Reform
The mock test exercise received thorough monitoring from top district officials including the deputy development commissioner, additional collector, all three DSOs, district education officer, and district superintendent of education. Their collective presence underscored the administration's serious approach to educational improvement.
Gumla DC Prerna Dixit emphasized the long-term vision behind the initiative: "This is not merely an exam-preparation drive but a long-term educational reform journey—one that ensures every child experiences the joy of learning and gains confidence for academic pursuits."
Future Plans and Academic Timeline
District Superintendent of Education Noor Alam Khan outlined the subsequent steps in this academic campaign. Test results will be compiled by November 20, followed by special parent-teacher meetings to discuss individual student progress.
For students who were absent or identified as needing additional support, targeted remedial strategies will be implemented. All schools have received instructions to complete the syllabus by December 15 and prepare holiday assignments to keep students academically engaged during the winter vacation.
The mock test exercises concluded on Wednesday, marking the beginning of what district officials describe as a sustained effort to transform educational outcomes in Gumla district.
