According to official reports, an autorickshaw had entered the campus to deliver plastic chairs for the Republic Day celebrations scheduled for the following day. Students reportedly assisted in unloading the chairs, after which four girls boarded the auto for a brief ride towards the school gate.
Police authorities stated that the driver slowed down near the gate to allow the students to disembark. While three girls alighted safely, the victim allegedly jumped from the still-moving vehicle, landing on the cement road and sustaining critical head trauma. School staff immediately rushed her to the government hospital in Banswada, where doctors pronounced her dead upon arrival.

The girl's father has vehemently accused the school management of gross negligence in handling student safety. In his formal complaint to the police, he contended that the school should never have permitted students to board the autorickshaw.
