Telangana Agriculture Department Takes Action Against Exam Paper Leak
The agriculture department in Telangana has suspended thirty in-service agriculture extension officers. This action comes after allegations of their involvement in an examination paper leak at Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University, commonly known as PJTAU.
Details of the Examination Scandal
The controversy centers on a leaked question paper for a B Sc agriculture semester examination. University authorities discovered the leak and promptly summoned the officers to the department for questioning. This incident has raised serious concerns about academic integrity within the agricultural education system.
Earlier investigations revealed that four university officials were also implicated in the case. Sources indicate that the matter may soon be transferred to the CB-CID for a more thorough criminal investigation. University authorities have already provided all relevant details and evidence to the police to assist with the ongoing probe.
University's Internal Investigation
During a recent visit to the college of agriculture in Jagtial, Vice-Chancellor Professor Aldas Janaiah took direct action. He examined semester examination records personally and reviewed CCTV footage from the campus. The review uncovered suspicious activities directly linked to the question paper leak.
In response to these findings, Professor Janaiah established a three-member committee. This committee has been tasked with conducting a detailed inquiry into the entire incident. Their investigation aims to uncover how the paper leak occurred and identify all individuals involved in the malpractice.
The agriculture department's suspension of thirty officers represents a significant disciplinary measure. It demonstrates the seriousness with which authorities are treating this breach of examination protocols. The case continues to develop as investigations proceed at both university and police levels.
