Developed by Kannur-based software firm Silicon IT Solutions Pvt Ltd, this AI kiosk incorporates sophisticated facial recognition technology and communicates exclusively in Malayalam. This linguistic accessibility makes advanced digital banking services available to people in rural and semi-urban areas who might otherwise face barriers with English-dominated banking technology.
How ChangAI Transforms the Banking Experience
Suresh Babu P, secretary of Kadirur Service Cooperative Bank, explained the motivation behind this technological advancement: "In the age of AI and rapid technological advancement, we felt our customers should also benefit from these innovations. Silicon IT Solutions developed this remarkable product after we identified the need. Our trial runs demonstrated that the AI-powered front office assistant significantly reduces customer waiting time while substantially decreasing fraud risks and minimizing errors caused by inadvertent mistakes."
The operational process is remarkably streamlined. Customers enter the dedicated ChangAI cubicle where they undergo authentication through AI-based facial recognition. Once verified, the system displays a consolidated view of their deposits and loans directly on the screen. Through intelligent prompts delivered in Malayalam, ChangAI guides users through multiple transactions, covering approximately 80% of routine banking services including deposits, withdrawals, loans, and gold loans.
