The collision took place around 3pm when a Mahindra Thar traveling towards Hyderabad allegedly rammed an autorickshaw from behind. The four women who lost their lives were agricultural labourers returning home from work. The accident occurred just as they had almost reached Bagepalli, when the SUV hit the autorickshaw from behind, triggering the fatal chain of events.
Injured Hospitalized
Five other women—Gangadevi, Lakshmidevi, Rathnamma, Arunamma, and Rajamma—sustained serious injuries and were admitted to a hospital in Chikkaballapura for treatment. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
