Ahmedabad Heat Continues: No Relief in Sight, IMD Says

Ahmedabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated that there will be no respite from the relentless heat for the citizens in the coming days. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature recorded was 40.6 degrees Celsius, which is 2.4 degrees higher than the normal average. The minimum temperature also soared to 29°C, marking an increase of 1.6 degrees above normal.

Weather Conditions

The city experienced partially cloudy weather, accompanied by a late evening breeze in several areas. According to the IMD forecast, the maximum temperature on Wednesday is likely to hover around 41°C. On Tuesday, the relative humidity (RH) was recorded at 62% at 8:30 am and dropped to 32% at 5:30 pm.

State Forecast

The state forecast indicates no major changes in maximum temperatures for the next seven days. However, some parts of South Gujarat may experience light to moderate rainfall over the next two days, as per the forecast.

Only three cities and towns recorded temperatures above 40°C: VV Nagar (40.7°C), Ahmedabad (40.6°C), and Bhavnagar (40.2°C).
