In a major breakthrough, the Chandigarh Police has successfully busted a cyber fraud gang that was operating from Delhi. The gang was involved in duping people through fake investment schemes, promising high returns. Three members of the gang have been arrested, and investigations are ongoing to trace other associates.
Modus Operandi of the Gang
The cyber fraudsters would lure victims by offering lucrative investment opportunities through social media and messaging apps. Once the victims invested money, the fraudsters would disappear, leaving them with significant financial losses.

Acting on a tip-off, the Cyber Crime Cell of Chandigarh Police conducted a raid in Delhi and apprehended the three accused. The police have recovered several mobile phones, SIM cards, and bank documents from their possession. The accused have been identified as residents of Delhi and neighboring areas.
