Facebook provides many tools to help users stay connected with friends and followers. One popular option is Facebook Stories. This feature lets you share photos and short videos between your regular posts.
What Are Facebook Stories?
Stories are full-screen, short-form content that vanishes after 24 hours. They give you creative overlays and customisable options. This makes it easier to be authentic without worrying about perfection.
How Stories Work
Stories create a space for candid moments and easy connections. When you click "Add to your story," your device's camera opens. You can capture a spontaneous video or a quick photo. This makes story content feel more personal than News Feed posts. You also have the choice to import existing photos and videos from your gallery.
How to Delete a Photo or Video from Facebook Stories
Follow these five steps to remove content from your Facebook Story.
- Go to the Stories section: Find this at the top of your News Feed.
- Click Your story: This opens your current story.
- Find the content: Click to locate the photo or video you want to delete.
- Open options: Click the three dots in the top right corner.
- Delete: Select "Delete photo" or "Delete video" to remove it.
Important note: Deleting a photo or video from your Facebook Story also removes it from Messenger. Any updates you make to your story will sync across both apps automatically.
Why Use Facebook Stories?
Stories offer a relaxed way to share daily moments. They disappear quickly, reducing pressure. The creative tools let you add text, stickers, and filters. This feature helps you engage with followers in a more informal style.
Facebook continues to evolve its features for better user experience. Stories remain a key part of staying connected in the digital age.
