The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has officially released the admit cards for the upcoming Document Verification and Physical Standards Test (DV/PST). This crucial phase is for candidates who successfully cleared the written examination under the direct recruitment drive for the year 2023.
Key Dates and Download Process
The board has announced that the DV/PST process will commence on January 5, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the written test for the posts of Police Sub Inspector (Confidential) and Assistant Sub Inspector can now download their hall tickets from the official website. The admit card is a mandatory document for entry at the test venue, and aspirants are strongly advised to verify all personal details printed on it carefully after downloading.
To manage the large pool of qualified applicants, the verification and physical test will be conducted simultaneously across 20 different districts in the state. The board has instructed candidates to report strictly according to the date, time, and venue specified on their individual admit cards. Along with a printed copy of the hall ticket, candidates must carry a valid government-issued photo identity proof for the verification process.
Vacancy Breakdown and Selection Stages
This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 921 vacancies within the Uttar Pradesh Police. The post-wise distribution is as follows:
- Sub Inspector (Confidential): 268 posts
- Assistant Sub Inspector (Clerk): 449 posts
- Assistant Sub Inspector (Accounts): 204 posts
The selection process is multi-staged, comprising the written examination, followed by the DV/PST, and culminating in a medical examination. Only those candidates who clear all stages successfully will be considered for final appointment to these coveted positions.
Physical and Medical Standards to Qualify
Clearing the physical standards test and subsequent medical examination is non-negotiable for appointment. Candidates must meet the prescribed benchmarks for physical and mental fitness. The board has made it clear that no candidate will be appointed if found medically unfit or possessing physical defects that could impair their duty performance.
A designated Medical Board will conduct thorough examinations, checking for a range of conditions including but not limited to:
- Knock knees, bow legs, and flat feet
- Varicose veins
- Visual acuity for near and distant vision, and colour blindness
- Hearing ability
This compulsory medical test is the final hurdle before a candidate receives approval for appointment.
