The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has introduced a significant change in its application process to ensure the integrity of its recruitment examinations. Starting January, all candidates will be required to upload their educational documents and degree certificates at the time of submitting their online applications.
Key Objective: Curbing Fraudulent Practices
The primary aim of this new mandate is to prevent dummy candidates from appearing in exams and to deter the use of fake certificates. The requirement will take effect from January, marking a proactive step by the board to streamline the verification process and ensure only eligible applicants proceed.
As per the official guidelines released on Monday, candidates will bear sole responsibility for the accuracy and correctness of the documents they submit, in strict accordance with the rules mentioned in the recruitment notice. Once details are submitted, modifications will not be permitted.
Two Methods for Document Submission
The RSSB has provided candidates with two distinct pathways to furnish their educational qualification details.
The first and recommended method is via DigiLocker. Candidates can fetch all available educational documents linked to their DigiLocker account directly to the application page with a single click. However, if any information retrieved is incomplete, applicants will be prompted to manually fill in the missing details in the relevant fields.
The second option is manual upload. For this, candidates must provide specific proofs depending on their academic status:
- The previous year's marksheet, or
- An admission fee receipt if admission to the relevant course has been secured, or
- A notarised affidavit stating that the candidate will acquire the required qualification, if admission is yet to be taken.
Strict Warnings and Consequences
The guidelines carry stern warnings for applicants. Documents that are unclear, distorted, blank, watermarked, or illegible can lead to the candidate being declared ineligible or even debarred from future examinations.
Furthermore, the board has clarified that any mistake made by an e-Mitra kendra operator or any person filling the form on the candidate's behalf will be considered the candidate's own mistake. Such errors could result in disqualification. A senior RSSB official urged all applicants to thoroughly review the attached support document before final submission.
This move is expected to add a layer of transparency and authenticity to the initial stages of recruitment conducted by the RSSB, which oversees numerous government job exams in the state.
