Focus on Self-Employment and Women Empowerment
A highlight of the Saharsa visit was the inauguration of the Shahpur Jeevika Sewing-cum-Production Centre at Ward No. 7 in Shahpur. The Chief Minister ceremoniously cut the ribbon and handed over keys of the Jeevika Didi sewing house to members of self-help groups. He thoroughly inspected the facility, inquiring about sewing techniques, cutting processes, and garment quality standards.
Jeevika Didis expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister, noting that this initiative has enabled them to pursue sustainable self-employment opportunities that directly benefit their families' economic well-being.
Emphasis on Timely Completion and Efficiency
Throughout his inspections, Nitish Kumar stressed the importance of completing all development works properly within stipulated timeframes. He highlighted how improved roads and bridges would enhance traffic flow, ultimately saving both time and fuel for citizens. The Chief Minister's directives focused on ensuring that infrastructure projects translate into tangible benefits for local communities.
