Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Greenlights Major Development Initiatives and Employee Benefits
The Madhya Pradesh state cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, convened a pivotal meeting and approved a series of significant decisions aimed at boosting infrastructure, supporting government personnel, and enhancing social welfare. The approvals encompass a wide range of sectors, from construction and agriculture to education and training, with a total financial outlay of ₹6,940 crore for various development works.
Key Approvals and Financial Allocations
In a major move to accelerate state development, the cabinet sanctioned multiple construction and infrastructure projects valued at ₹6,940 crore. These initiatives are expected to improve connectivity, urban amenities, and public facilities across Madhya Pradesh, contributing to economic growth and job creation. The detailed plans for these projects will be rolled out by relevant departments in the coming months.
Additionally, the cabinet approved a 3% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for government employees and pensioners. This hike is aimed at mitigating the impact of inflation and ensuring financial stability for over lakhs of serving and retired personnel, effective from the next fiscal cycle.
Agricultural and Social Welfare Initiatives
To promote sustainable farming practices, the Mahana Micro Irrigation Project in Rewa district received cabinet approval. This project is designed to enhance water efficiency and crop productivity in the region, benefiting local farmers and supporting the state's agricultural sector. It aligns with broader goals of water conservation and climate-resilient agriculture.
In a step towards inclusive education, the cabinet decided that guest teachers working in institutions for Divyangs (persons with disabilities) will now receive a monthly honorarium of ₹18,000. This measure aims to recognize their crucial role and improve the quality of education and support for Divyang students, fostering a more equitable learning environment.
Training Scheme and Implementation Plans
The cabinet also gave the nod for the implementation of the Shaurya Sankalp Training Scheme. This initiative is focused on skill development and capacity building, particularly for youth and marginalized communities, to enhance employability and support socio-economic empowerment. The scheme will be executed through various training modules and partnerships with educational institutions.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that these decisions reflect the government's commitment to holistic development and welfare. The cabinet meeting, held recently, reviewed progress on existing policies and set the stage for accelerated implementation of these new approvals, with monitoring mechanisms to ensure timely execution.
These approvals are part of a broader strategy to drive Madhya Pradesh's growth trajectory, addressing key areas such as infrastructure, employee welfare, agriculture, education, and skill development. The government plans to follow up with detailed guidelines and funding allocations to ensure effective rollout across the state.
