BJP MP Manoj Tiwari Launches Intensive West Bengal Campaign Blitz Ahead of 2026 Assembly Elections
In a significant political move, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament Manoj Tiwari is set to participate in five high-profile election campaign programs across West Bengal today. This aggressive campaign push comes as political parties ramp up their efforts in anticipation of the crucial West Bengal Assembly elections scheduled for 2026.
Packed Campaign Schedule Across Key Locations
The BJP leader's itinerary includes a comprehensive series of public engagements designed to connect with voters across multiple constituencies. Tiwari will commence his day with a vibrant road show stretching from Pincol More to Babughat, followed by another combined roadshow and public meeting from GulMohar to Nandibgan.
His campaign trail will then lead him to Naihati for a dedicated public meeting, before moving to Belgachia for a rally accompanied by a road show. The day's political activities will conclude with a campaign event at Howrah Uttar, specifically in the GulMohar area.
Strategic Timing Amid High-Stakes Electoral Preparations
This intensive campaign visit occurs as political campaigning reaches fever pitch for the upcoming elections to the 294-member West Bengal Legislative Assembly. The polling is scheduled to be conducted in two distinct phases on April 23 and April 29, with the crucial vote counting set for May 4.
Taking to the social media platform X, Manoj Tiwari personally announced his campaign plans, stating, "Today, I will participate in 5 campaign programs in West Bengal, including a public meeting and a road show." He further added, "Tomorrow morning in Delhi, Dehradun 709 BC, I will welcome all of you at the inauguration ceremony by the Prime Minister."
Prime Minister's Parallel Uttarakhand Visit
Coinciding with Tiwari's West Bengal campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Uttarakhand on Tuesday, marking his 27th official visit to the Himalayan state. During this significant visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the much-anticipated Delhi-Dehradun Expressway and dedicate to the nation India's first variable speed pumped storage plant, boasting an impressive capacity of 1,000 megawatts, located in Tehri.
In preparation for the Prime Minister's visit, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a detailed on-ground inspection on Sunday. The inspection covered the route from Jaswant Ground in Garhi Cantt to Maa Daat Kali Temple via road, ensuring all arrangements are in place for Prime Minister Modi's proposed visit to Dehradun on April 14, aiming to guarantee the successful execution of the program.
This dual political activity highlights the BJP's simultaneous focus on both West Bengal's electoral battleground and developmental initiatives in Uttarakhand, showcasing the party's multi-pronged approach to governance and electioneering as the 2026 polls draw nearer.
