Dimapur Police Revises Traffic Rules: Key Routes Now Two-Way
Dimapur Issues Revised Traffic Advisory with Immediate Effect

Dimapur Police Implements Revised Traffic System

The Dimapur commissionerate of police has announced significant changes to the town's traffic flow with a revised advisory issued on Thursday. The new regulations take effect immediately, bringing relief to commuters who navigate the bustling commercial hub of Nagaland.

According to the police notification, two-way traffic will now be permitted on the stretch from Deluxe Point to Holy Cross Police Point and vice versa. This marks a substantial shift from previous restrictions and aims to streamline vehicle movement in this busy corridor.

Key Changes to Dimapur Traffic Routes

Another major modification affects the route from Khermahal to Deluxe Point, which will also operate as a two-way corridor. However, specific restrictions remain in place to manage traffic flow effectively.

Vehicles approaching from Khermahal or Eros Lane toward Deluxe Point will only be allowed entry toward the new flyover. These vehicles will not be permitted to proceed toward Nyamo Lotha Road, maintaining directional control during peak hours.

Similarly, vehicles traveling from MP Road have options to head toward NL Road or access the new flyover, but entry toward Khermahal will remain restricted under the revised system.

Continuation of Existing Regulations

The police advisory emphasized that all existing traffic regulations already in force will remain unchanged. This ensures that while new routes open for two-way movement, other traffic rules continue to maintain order and safety on Dimapur's roads.

The immediate enforcement of these changes demonstrates the police commissionerate's commitment to addressing traffic congestion in Dimapur town. As Nagaland's commercial capital, Dimapur experiences significant vehicle movement daily, making efficient traffic management crucial for the town's functioning.

Commuters and daily travelers are advised to familiarize themselves with these revised routes to avoid confusion and potential traffic violations. The changes are expected to provide more flexibility for local transportation while maintaining overall traffic discipline.
