The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a wider advantage across West Bengal in the recent assembly elections, but the Nanoor constituency remained with the Trinamool Congress (TMC). Bidhan Chandra Majhi of the TMC emerged victorious with 1,19,910 votes, defeating BJP candidate Khokan Das by a margin of 8,122 votes. Das put up a strong fight, polling 1,11,788 votes, but ultimately finished second.

Current Representation

Bidhan Chandra Majhi of the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) is the sitting MLA from Nanoor. He won the seat in the 2021 assembly election by securing 47.65% of the total votes polled, followed by the BJP's Tarakeswar Saha, who received 44.81% of the votes. In the recently held assembly polls, Majhi was challenged by Khokan Das of the BJP.

Earlier, the constituency was won by Shyamali Pradhan of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) in 2016. In 2011, Gadadhar Hazra of AITC had secured victory in the seat.
