BJP Leaders Announce Imminent Political Transformation in Bihar

In a significant development, BJP leaders in Patna declared on Monday that the political direction and situation in Bihar are poised for a major change soon. Speaking at the party's 47th foundation day function, they emphasized that the BJP is set to establish its leadership and take the driver's seat within the next 15-20 days.

Patience Urged Amidst Coalition Dynamics

However, the leaders urged party workers to exercise patience and refrain from making political statements unless instructed. This caution comes as the BJP aims to have its own chief minister for the first time in Bihar, despite being part of a coalition government with JD(U), led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, for over 17 years.

Timing of Power Shift and Oath Details

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is scheduled to take oath as a Rajya Sabha member on April 10, after which he is expected to resign as the head of the state government. Having been at the helm since November 2005, his departure marks the end of an era. The power shift in the NDA government may be delayed until Akshaya Tritiya, which falls on April 20, indicating a strategic timing for the transition.

Leaders Laud BJP's Historical Journey

Addressing BJP workers at the party office in Patna, state BJP president Sanjay Saraogi, deputy CM Samrat Choudhary, and BJP general secretary (organization) Bhikhubhai Dalsania praised the party's history and evolution since the Jansangh days. They recalled the contributions of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya in fostering the growth of the BJP across the country.

Commitment to Values and Development

Samrat Choudhary highlighted that the BJP always fulfills its commitments and expressed hope for celebrating the party's 4700th foundation day in the future. He attributed the BJP's glorious journey to the penance, sacrifice, and dedication of its founders and workers. "Atal Ji took the party to great heights, and the country is rapidly becoming developed and self-reliant under the leadership of Modi Ji," he said. Guided by the resolve of 'Antyodaya to Rashtrodaya' (uplift of the last person to the rise of the nation), the organization is dedicated to delivering development to every individual. "BJP's journey is not a journey for power, but of values and ideology," he asserted.

Adherence to Guiding Principles

Sanjay Saraogi noted that the party is advancing by adhering to the guiding principles of stalwarts who lived by the mantra of 'Nation First'. He quoted former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee: "The darkness shall lift, the sun shall rise, and the lotus shall bloom." Saraogi affirmed that Bihar is undergoing a transformation and that the aspirations of its people will soon be realized.

Elevation Within the Party

Commenting on the appointment of Patna's Nitin Nabin as the BJP national president, Saraogi remarked that such an elevation is possible only within the BJP, showcasing the party's internal growth opportunities.

Tributes to Party Personalities

Former Union minister and Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, Digha MLA Sanjeev Chaurasia, and state general secretary Radhamohan Sharma were among others who paid tribute to eminent personalities of the party during the event.
