The budget session of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly is poised to continue until March 11, as confirmed by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC). Chaired by Assembly Speaker Ch Ayyanna Patrudu, the BAC has scheduled the session for an initial 17 days, with provisions for extension based on legislative requirements.

The BAC meeting, held to finalize the session's agenda, saw the presence of prominent political figures. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Finance and Legislative Affairs Minister P Keshav, Chief Whip GVSSR Anjaneyulu, Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar from Janasena, and BJP Floor Leader Vishnu Kumara Raju participated in the discussions. This collaborative effort ensured a comprehensive schedule for the upcoming parliamentary activities.
Budget Presentation and Legislative Timelines
Finance Minister P Keshav is scheduled to present the state budget on February 14. Following this, the assembly will observe holidays on February 15 and 16 in observance of Maha Sivarathri. The House will reconvene on February 18 to initiate discussions on the budget, with the finance minister set to reply to the debate on the same day.
Special Events and Breaks in Session
In addition to legislative duties, several events have been planned for the legislators. Sports competitions will be organized at the Secretariat Parade Grounds from February 24 to 26, promoting camaraderie among members. The session will pause from March 1 to 3, and a cultural event is slated for March 6, enriching the parliamentary experience.

The BAC has outlined the daily schedule for the assembly, with sessions running from 9 am to 2 pm. The question hour will occupy one hour, followed by a brief zero hour.
