Police in Unnao have made a significant breakthrough in a chilling murder case, arresting two individuals for the alleged killing of a 24-year-old man. The crime, which appears to stem from a romantic rivalry, has sent shockwaves through the local community.

Body Discovered Near Field, Police Launch Probe

The case came to light when the body of a young man was discovered near a field under the jurisdiction of the Achalganj police station area in Unnao. The deceased was promptly identified as Sudhir Pal, aged 24, son of Ram Sajeevan, a resident of Baliyarkheda village.

Following the grim discovery, Circle Officer (CO) of Bighapur, Madhup Nath Mishra, arrived at the scene with a forensic team. A thorough inspection was conducted, and crucial evidence was collected from the spot. The body was subsequently sent for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Based on the initial findings, a formal case was registered at the Achalganj police station, setting the stage for an intensive investigation.

Love Triangle Emerges as Motive, Accused Apprehended

Through diligent investigative work, the police swiftly zeroed in on the suspects. The accused have been named as Sandeep (28), son of Surkalal Nishad, who hails from Bhopalpurwa under Nawabganj police station limits in Kanpur Nagar, and Ranjeet Verma (27), son of Ramchandra Verma, a resident of Baliyarkheda.

According to the police, the motive behind the brutal murder was a romantic entanglement. Both Sudhir Pal and Sandeep were reportedly in love with the same woman, which led to simmering tensions and disputes between them. Investigators allege that Sandeep later conspired with his friend, Ranjeet Verma, to eliminate Sudhir. The duo is accused of strangling Sudhir to death using a saree before callously dumping his body near the field.

Both suspects have been taken into police custody and are undergoing rigorous questioning. Authorities have confirmed that the accused will be produced before a court, and a chargesheet in the case will be filed shortly to ensure a swift judicial process.

Separate Viral Assault Video Promises Action

In a separate but concerning incident, a video depicting three individuals brutally assaulting a man went viral on social media platforms on Monday. Addressing this, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Kapil Dev Singh stated that the individuals involved in the assault would be identified and appropriate legal action would be taken against them. This incident highlights the growing challenge of violent content circulating online.
