Bizarre Demand Precedes Violent Attack

The trouble began when a group of men entered the hotel located in Po Ponneri village. They made an outrageous demand for human meat from the staff. When the hotel refused to comply, the situation quickly escalated into violence.

The attackers turned their aggression toward the hotel proprietor, identified as 32-year-old A Tamizhazhagan. They assaulted him with such force that he sustained serious injuries. Tamizhazhagan suffered a fracture to his left shoulder and multiple bleeding wounds on his neck during the attack.

Hospitalization and Police Response

Following the assault, Tamizhazhagan required immediate medical attention. He was admitted to Tittakudi Government Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The attack occurred on Saturday, sending shockwaves through the local community.

The hotel cook, 26-year-old R Dinesh Babu, witnessed the entire incident. He promptly filed a formal complaint with Tittakudi police station. Police officials registered a case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) including sections 191(2), 191(3), 296(b), 115(2), 118(2), and 351(3).

Investigation Reveals Details

Police launched a thorough investigation into the matter. Their preliminary findings identified three individuals directly involved in the crime. The arrested suspects are 23-year-old L Kaviarasan, 19-year-old R Prasanth, and 22-year-old C Srikanth. All three hail from Thideerkuppam area.

Authorities confirmed that one additional suspect remains at large. Police have launched an intensive hunt to locate and apprehend this individual. Investigators noted that the gang members appeared to be in an inebriated condition when they visited the hotel that day.
