Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru on Monday, Jarkiholi dismissed speculation of a rift within the Congress party. "Siddaramaiah is a senior leader and has contributed immensely to the party. Every leader goes through phases where their influence may seem diminished, but that is part of the political process," he said.

Reports have emerged in recent weeks suggesting that Siddaramaiah, a two-time former chief minister, has been kept away from key decision-making processes in the Shivakumar-led government.
